Про мораль и политику
Между политикой и моралью все же есть связь: например, политическая пропаганда всегда манипулирует массами, обращаясь именно к базовым "моральным инстинктам". Вот Свежий номер "Троицкого варианта". Там на стр. 6 запись моей беседы с Наталией Деминой про моральные инстинкты и политику. Типичный "кухонный разговор" в том смысле, что он не был как-то специально причесан для публикации, просто поговорили.
Ну а кровопролитность в мире действительно снижается, причем очень быстро. Например, пишут, что: if the wars of the twentieth century killed the same proportion of the population as ancient tribal wars, then the death toll would have been 20 times higher — 2 billion rather than 100 million (Pinker, 2007). More recent data also show that violence is decreasing over time. European murder rates have decreased dramatically since the Middle Ages (e.g., Eisner, 2001; Gurr, 1981). For example, estimated murders in England dropped from 24 per 100,000 in the fourteenth century to 0.6 per 100,000 by the early 1960s. The major decline in violence seems to have occurred in the seventeenth century during the “ Age of Reason, ” beginning in the Netherlands and England and then spreading to other European countries (Pinker, 2007). Global violence has also been steadily falling since the middle of the twentieth century ( Human Security Brief, 2007 ). For example, the number of battle deaths in interstate wars has declined from more than 65,000 per year in the 1950s to less than 2,000 per year in the 2000s. There also are global declines in the number of armed conflicts and combat deaths, the number of military coups, and the number of deadly violence campaigns waged against civilians.

Если бы так.
У меня есть френд, с которым знаком более двух лет, ему около 40-ка, кандидат физико-математических наук, старший преподаватель в университете.
Образован, умеет работать с философскими текстами, выстраивать логические построения, он мне очень интересен.
Много между собой общались не только в ЖЖ, но и в личке, и по емайлу.
И вдруг случилась ситуация с Украиной, потом с Крымом.
Мой знакомый, совершенно для меня неожиданно, заговорил лозунгами патриотов.
С такой же их агрессивностью, с принятием их мировоззрения, их позиции и идеологем.
Я перестал его узнавать – такое впечатление, что его журналом завладел какой-то тролль, хакер.
Вот некоторое из того, с чем теперь обращается ко мне мой бывший интеллигентный друг:
– Да у вас тут уже откровенной смердяковщиной пахнет.
– Напишите себе на лбу "Я – бандеровец".
– Почему вы свою страну не любите?
– Ваш ЖЖ превратился в рупор бандеровской антироссийской пропаганды.
Хотя на самом-то деле я всего лишь не приветствую "возвращение Крыма домой", согласен с тем, что это вот именно аннексия.

Я объясняю вот это его теперешнее "умопомрачение" случившимся у нас в эти пару месяцев рецидивом постимперского синдрома.
Этот синдром переживали народы всех бывших империй.
И у нашего Вождя он есть, и он его и в себе, и в народе искусственно разжигает.
